Off-field Techniques

Many of us utilize flying in order to gain access to remote areas of Alaska that aren’t associated with an airport environment.  If you’re interested in putting your formal FAA training to real-world, safe, off-field use, we’d be happy to provide instruction to support this endeavor.

Learn to assess the risks and develop good judgment.  Increase your off-field experience and skill-set.  Chose settings such as mountains, rivers, and lakes.  Operate from ridges, glaciers, tundra, gravel bars, beaches, water, and snow.  Utilize float, wheel, and ski landing gear.

Mission: Safely provide access to remote areas of Alaska using specialized skills and aircraft. This is supported by experience, proficiency, knowledge about the operating environment, and excellent equipment maintenance.  Share aeronautical skill and judgment through effective flight training.
