Here’s the map: Google Maps (Click "Satellite" or "Earth" at upper-right for terrain detail.)
They call it “barn sour”, when the horse your riding decides it’s had enough and heads for home. Mike and I woke up barn sour ourselves this morning and headed back to Alaska without delay. (Well, except to see the horses.)
Mike drove GTA (Grand Theft Auto), just like Dalia back in France. He had no patience for anyone who got in his way. Caught a picture of him with his game face on. Sometimes I had to close my eyes and go to a happy place.
By the way – Mike’s a meteorologist and a TV personality. He hosts the Alaska Weather show on PBS from time to time. (Just in case he looks familiar to you.)
A BIG thank you to the volunteers and sponsors of the Yukon River Trail Marathon for a great event! Much appreciated.
Thanks for another epic adventure Mike, and especially for your friendship.
That’s a wrap.
