As of February, 2012, Nunatak Air is relocating to Anchorage, Alaska.  Previously, the business was based out of the Valdez Airport and a private airstrip and property in the Copper River Basin.  Flight training services are potentially available throughout Alaska.  Here’s an aerial view of the private airstrip, along with an early morning view showing the Copper River (more than 500 feet below) and the massive Wrangell Mountains (Mt. Drum, Mt. Sanford, and Mt. Wrangell) beyond.  It’s a wonder place to spend time and strategically located to gain you quick access to remote areas of the region.
